SUNY Orange New Golf Coach
Middletown NY - The SUNY Orange Colts are happy to announce the hiring of our next Head Golf Coach, Richard P. Giordano.
Richard Giordano is currently the Director of Golf/Head Golf Professional at the Town of Wallkill Golf Club. Since 2018, Giordano has been responsible for all golf instruction and player development programs, as well as day to day business management activities at the Town of Wallkill Golf Club.
Prior to his time at the Wallkill Golf Club, Coach Giordano has golf experience as the Business Manager at the West Point Golf Course and as a Golf Professional/ Operations Lead at the Golf Club at Mansion Ridge. Currently, Coach runs local golf clinics and camps for adults and children.
Coach Giordano is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz, with a BA degree in Communications. He graduated from Orange County Community College with an AAS degree in Marketing Management. Coach played golf while attending Orange and is a proud alumni. He states, "like most teens I was conflicted on whether to go to college or start work full time. I decided to take 12 credits at SUNY Orange..... The time spent at SUNY Orange was undoubtedly some of the best years of my life. I was full of study, activities, intramural sports and the culture of the campus was perfect." Coach is a graduate of Minisink Valley HS and resides in Middletown.
The Colts Golf team will begin their 2025 season and Regional play in April.
