Game #1 started in the best way possible with two runners on base LF #23 Andrew Reda smashes a 3-run Homerun to give the Colts the early lead in the very first inning. Through the first five innings both teams were able to score runs as there were 17 total runs scored in the first five innings and then neither team was able to put numbers on the board after that. Thankfully the Colts held their early lead and were able to record their third win of the season with a final score of 10-7. The Colts recorded 11 hits, 7 of the 11 hits resulted in an RBI and in 36 at bats there were only 8 total strikeouts for the Colts.
LF #23 Andrew Reda has now hit 3 home runs in 3 consecutive games
Pitcher #21 Ben Intili recorded his first win of the season where he pitched for 3 innings and gave up 4 hits and 2 walks. Pitcher #11 Gabe Alfonso closed things off for the Colts pitching the last two innings of the game allowing 0 hits and 0 walks and struck out 2 batters to help seal the win.
Game #2 was not like the first as the Colts were not able to record a hit until the 3rd inning where they scored all six of their runs in just five hit and ended up being their only hits for the remainder of the game. In the 3rd inning things were starting to shape up and great plays were happening. 2B #25 Josh Martin gave the Colts their first two runs of the game with a two-run Home Run scoring CF #5 Aundre Rick. Later in that inning with bases loaded 1B #11 Gabe Alfonso stepped up to the plate and smashed a 3 run double to give the Colts a 3 run lead. The Colts were unfortunately unable to hold their lead as their opponent scored 12 runs in the last 4 innings of the game making the score 15-6 giving the Colts their 8th loss of the season.
