Colts vs Erie College
Colts have suffered back-to-back losses.
The SUNY Orange Colts faced off against Erie College in their first of two times facing off this season in a Sunday Matchup in Rochester.
In another very competitive game where the Colts were unfortunately unable to secure the win after a buzzer beater 3 point shot giving the Colts their second loss of the season.
First half was all Orange as the Colts were able to gain and maintain a lead until the last 2 minutes of the half where Erie was able to gain a 2 point lead to close out the first half.
In the second half of there were four different lead changes before it was Erie who went on a massive run to give them a 9 point lead with 5 minutes left in the game until the Colts were able to tie after there were 3 fouls leading to a technical foul giving the Colts a foul shot with 11 seconds left in the game to tie it at 99.
With 11 seconds left Eire managed to get off one last shot as time expired that unfortunately went in to give the Colts their second consecutive loss.
Although the tough loss the Colts managed to have six athletes score more than 10 points in Marquis Gill, Mat Shea, Jared Smalls, Tyreke Harewood, Daniel Lans, Jordan Blue
Freshman #1 Marquis Gill (Middletown, NY) finished as the leading scorer with 24 points (third career game with 20+ points). Gill added 2 steal, 2 assists and 4 rebounds
Sophomore #23 Tyreke Harewood (Bridgetown, Barbados) second highest scorer with 15 points. Harewood also recorded 7 rebounds, 2 assists, one steal and 2 blocks
Sophomore #4 Daniel Lans (Spring Valley, NY) scored 14 points while recording 1 steal, 3 assists and came down with 3 rebounds
