Colts vs Hawks of Rockland County
The Colts played against the Rockland County Hawks in their third conference matchup of the year and just as many would expected as the Colts came away with the win in overtime after they were trailing by 10 points after the first half but were able to bounce back and put numbers on the board as they were able to out score Rockland by 10 points after the 2nd half to even the score at 65 to go into overtime.
This was another all around stellar performance for the Colts as there were 5 players who came within 1-2 points of reaching 10 points ( Gill: 8 Points, Shea: 9 Points, Smalls: 8 Points, Harewood: 8 Points, Rutling: 9 Points) for the game and two players scoring 18+ points as Daniel Lans notched a career high 20 points while shooting 50% from the field and George Patsalos scored 18 points while also shooting 50% from the field. This win gives the Colts their 5th win in a row as they face a familiar foe in Sullivan County, a team the Colts will most likely end up seeing in the postseason.
Sophomore, #24 George Patsalos (New Windsor, NY) earned himself the performance of the night as he finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots
Sophomore, #4 Daniel Lans (Spring Valley, NY) notched a career high in points scoring 20 points while shooting 50%. Lans aside from his great offensive performance he grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 3 assists, 3 steals and one blocked shot.
Sophomore, #3 Jared Smalls (Middletown, NY) was a ball hawk as Smalls earned double digit steals (10) and also dished out 8 assists. Smalls also scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds
Freshman, #2 Mat Shea (Wallkill, NY) was another key contributor to the game as Shea scored 9 points while also recording 11 rebounds, 2 assists, one steal and blocked one shot.
