Final Four Banner Raised in Celebration

January 13th, 2024 was a day to honor Orange basketball's first Final Four team and to unveil the SUNY Orange 2023 NJCAA Division II Final Four banner that is located inside of the gymnasium next to the scoreboard. 

The 2022-2023 season saw the SUNY Orange Colts finish with a 31-3 (28-0) regular season)record and were named District East B Champions.  The team held a 31 regular season game win streak dating back to the prior season. They then went on to defeat Raritan Valley 79-76 to declare themselves as District Champions. The Colts then went on to the Final Four of the National Tournament where in 4 days they managed to play a total of 4 games where they went 2-2 after losing their last two games to ranked #7 Milwaukee Area Tech 79-76 and #4 Danville Area 74-65.

What a phenomenal season for the Colts as head coach Tom Rickard was named "Coach of the Year" for the second time in his coaching career. Additionally, sophomore Romeo Aquino  was named Region XV and NJCAA Division II "Player of the Year." Teammates Darius Boben and Kevin Stein were named to the Region XV First Team all-star team. Keon Gill was named to the All Tournament Team at nationals and freshman George Patsalos was named to the region's "Sportsmanship Team."
