Colts vs Raritan Valley Lions
The SUNY Orange Colts face off against the 11-3 Lions of Raritan Valley who seem to be a powerhouse going into tonight's game. At the end of the first half the Colts are trailing 41-40 as they seem to have trouble maintaining momentum and are forcing unwanted shots which are leading to misses.
In the second half the Colts came out firing and looked as if they knew they were take home the win against the tough opponent. With 3:45 left in the second half the Colts have a 13 point lead with a score of 86-73 and looks like the Colts will secure the win as they are controling the clock and taking advantage of what is given to them. With this hard fought victory this marks the 10th win for the Colts as the final score was 98-86. In the win the Colts had three players score 20 or more points (Patsalos, Lans, Gill ). The Colts will be getting some much needed and well deserved rest as we approach the holiday break. Their next game will take place in the New Year!
Sophomore, #23 George Patsalos (New Windsor, NY) earned himself another performance of the night as he finished with 22 points and came down with 15 rebounds to add to his spectacular night.
Sophomore, #4 Daniel Lans (Spring Valley, NY) scored the second most points as he finished with 21 points, dished out 5 assists, grabbed 3 rebounds and came away with 2 steals
Freshman, #1 Marquis Gill (Middletown, NY) is the third highest scorer of the night with 20 points while shooting 50% from the field. Gill also recorded 4 rebounds and shot 5-6 from the free throw line.
