Colts Win vs Jamestown Jayhawks
10th win in a row for the Colts
The SUNY Orange Colts took care of business on the hardwood this past weekend as they defeated the Jamestown Jayhawks 89-75. To start the game, the Colts were red hot, as they almost scored 50 points to in the first half, They were just one point short with 49 points to Jamestowns 28. Going into the second half the Colts were leading by 21 points.
Freshman, #1 Marquis Gill (Middletown, NY) had himself a fantastic performance with six 3 pointers made in just the first half alone. Gill broke out for 28 points, just two short of his career high. Along with his success shooting the basketball, Gill also had 5 assists and had 4 steals
Freshman, #2 Mat Shea (Wallkill, NY) was the second high scorer of the game for Orange as he finished with 13 points also added 12 rebounds and 3 assists. He scored 9 of his 13 points just in a short span early in the second half. This marks Shea's fourth double- double of the season.
Sophomore, #24 George Patsalos (New Windsor, NY) scored 11 points in tonights game in what was an off performance for him on the offensive side but more than made up for it in other ways. Patsalos finished 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks to add to his all around great performance.
