Colts vs Caiman's of Hostos Community College

The SUNY Orange Colts took on the 13-4 Caiman of Hostos Community College, going into this game the SUNY Orange Colts were ranked 22nd out of 25 in NJCAA DII Men's Basketball Rankings after finishing last week with a 3-1 record to solidify their spot in the rankings.
In this game against the Colts held their opponent to just two three pointers made but despite holding the Caimans to just six points from behind the three point arc this game was the largest point differential this season and is the most points scored against the Colts this season. Suffering their third loss of the season by a score of 102-93 the Colts loss their second game in a row after losing to the SUNY Niagara Thunderwolves and now Caimans of Hostos Community College, falling to a 13-3 record the Colts will look to get back in the winners column. This is the first time that the SUNY Orange and Hostos Community College Men's Basketball teams are facing off against each other as both team will look to secure the win in their first appearance against a new team.
In the first half of the game the SUNY Orange Colts managed to come away with an eight point lead to end the first half of the game after leading 41-33. With this lead the Colts have led in the first half in 13 out of 16 of the games played this season with only one resulting in a loss.
After 40 minutes the Colts were unable to hold on to their lead they once had as they would end up losing the game against the Caimans by their largest margin losing 102-93 in a game where the turnovers was a reason for their loss as they surrendered the ball 31 times beating their previous game high by ten turnovers. Despite the loss the Colts continue their game streak of finishing the game with a free throw precentage of over 50% this is the 15th game in a row where they havereached this mark and is the fourth game in a row where the team finished with above a 75% free throw shooting percentage going 72/89 over the last four games.
The Colts will brush this loss off and look towards their next opponent in a must win game. The Colts go up against the Titans of County College of Morris, these two teams faced off against each other last season in the NJCAA Division II East B Championship where the Titans got the better of the Colts defeating them 76-72 after getting outscored 9-5 in the last minute of the game to secure the victory for the Titans.

So. Guard #1 Marquis Gill finished the game with his third straight game with 20+ points and is his fourth time this season finishing perfect from the free throw line. Gill finished with 30 points beating his previous season high in points by one point, shooting 8/21 from the field while making half of his three pointers attempted finishing 7/14 from the three point arc also added an immaculate 7/7 from the free throw line. Aside from his great shooting performance Gill tied two other teammates as the steals leader with three steals and also added four assists and four rebounds.
Fr. Forward #2 Kassius Paulin finished the game as the second highest scorer for the Colts and was one of three athletes to finish with three steals. Paulin finished the game shooting 6/14 from the field and went 4-6 from the free throw line while also adding three rebounds, five assists and one of two blocks recorded by the Colts.
So. Guard #3 Daniel Lans has been a defensive playmaker all year he currently leads the entire NJCAA DII in steals with 58 recorded steals this season. Lans more then makes up for his off nights shooting the ball, in the game against the Caimans Lans scored just two points on 1/8 shooting but contributed in other ways. Finishing the game with seven rebounds he tied teammate Mat Shea as team leader, led the way for the Colts in the second straight game as the assist leader in the game finishing with six recorded assists. Lans also finished tied as the game leader in steals finishing with three steals, this is the 10th game where lans finished with multiple steals.
