Colts vs Regional Opponent The Generals of Sullivan County

On Tuesday Feb. 4th the SUNY Orange Colts hosted the Generals of Sullivan County. This was the second time this season that the two teams are facing off against each other, with the Colts coming away with the victory in game one they looked to complete the sweep at home.
To begin this game the Colts took care of business as they earned the first lead of the game and were able to maintain their lead for the remainder of the first half as they led 46-32 after one half of play. In the second half of the game the Colts started out hot forcing the Generals to call two timeout within 37 seconds (19:33-18:55). Unfortunately for the Generals their timeout breaks were not enough to halt the success of the Colts, outscoring the Generals 27-8 after just five minutes of play.
Throughout the entirety of this game everything was falling for the Colts finding ton of success on the offensive and defensive end,holding the Generals to just 70 points the Colts secure their 18th win as the final score stood 114-70. With this victory this is the largest point differential the Colts have had against the Generals and the first time the Colts scored over 100 points in their 18 appearences against Sullivan County dating back to 2017.
In this game the Colts had an athlete finish one three pointer short of tying the school record for most three point shots made in a single game.

So. Guard #1 Marquis Gill finished the game with a season high 30 points and finished tied for second place in three pointers made in a single game after going 9/12 from behind the arc. Gill led the way for the Colts going 10/17 from the field and added, two rebounds, six assists and four steals to his career night.
So. Forward #22 finished second in points scoring 26 points on 10/14 shooting from the field and 6-8 from the free throw line. Jabari also added six rebounds, six steals, two assists and two blocks.
So. Forward#24 Mathew Shea was the third leading scorer for the Colts and led the way in rebounds. Finishing with 14 points on 5-10 shooting, Shea finished one rebound short of tying his season high after recording 14 rebounds. Mat also added five assists and five steals for the first 5x5 of his career, recording five or more stats in five different categories.
With this win the Colts move on to a six game win streak as they will look to continue their success as they take on the Black Knights of Army Prep on Thursday Feb 6th at 6:00
