Colts vs The United States Military Preparatory School
The Colts took on the Black Knights for a Tuesday afternoon showdown. The beginning of the game it seemed as though neither team was able to get things going and for the first 20 minutes both teams were scoreless until Army was able to score the first goal of the game off of a free kick to make the score 1-0. The Black Knights were able to score two more goals before the end of the first half giving the Colts a three goal deficit going into the second half.
The Colts were able to get off a lot of shots during the game but were unable to find the back of the net until freshman Defender #17 Christian Laguerre - Morin scored the first goal of his college career coming off the assist from Harrison Coard which was also his first assist this season. The Colts unfortunately were unable to score after some missed opportunities and some great saves from the Black Nights. The Colts would lose this game by a score of 3-1 giving them an 0-4 record through the first four games of the season. Despite the loss, the Colts played until the very last minute and showed a lot of upside for the remainder of the season as they were able to produce a lot of opportunities but were just unable to capitalize on the chances. With just under 10 games left in the season, they hope to turn things around as quickly as possible.
The Colts will be facing off against the Broncos of Bronx Community College for a 4:00 Thursday afternoon showdown. The Broncos stand at one win and two loses in Region 15 play.
