Colts vs Hawks of Rockland County
On Tuesday October 1st the SUNY Orange Colts took on the 1-4-1 Hawks of Rockland County. The SUNY Orange Colts faced some troubles due to injury last week when GK Ebani Rugerio exited the game with a leg injury, Rugerio would also miss this game against the Hawks as Defenseman Jonathan Velasquez will once again be the replacement in net. The SUNY Orange Colts were able to find a ton of chances on the offensive end, finishing with 16 total shots on goal while scoring one. With a score of 1-1 the SUNY Orange Colts tied the Hawks of Rockland County. The Hawks were able to get the first points on the board, after a quiet first half which ended 0-0 the Hawks were the first to score to make it 1-0 in the 58th minute of the game.
As the end of the game was approaching the Colts made what looked like their last offensive possession of the game which would result in a game tying goal coming from So Harrison Coard after a stellar pass from Jonathan Santos in the 80th minute of the game. With a 1-1 score the Colts would tie the Hawk as they move on to a 0-7-1 record putting an end to their losing streak as look to put this game behind them and prepare for the Falcons of Dutchess County Community College on Thursday October 3rd @4:00.
