Colts vs Red Hawks of LaGuardia

On an action packed Saturday for the Colts, both Men's Soccer and Women's Volleyball secured a victory over their scheduled opponent. The Colts Soccer team earned an exciting team victory over the Red Hawks of LaGuardia Community College. 

The Colts were able to secure the victory this last game of the season.  The Colts played hard all season, and put together a true team effort to close out the 2024 campaign.  In defeating the Red Hawks 3-0, the Colts got the win at home.  Captain F/M Edwin Ortega was the Colt of the game as he scored two goals and one assist being involved in all three goals. Ortega scored the first goal of the game, a stellar corner kick that looked to have eyes of its own as it curved its way past the goal keeper for his 3th goal on the year and first of the game.

Ortega would later score the second goal coming off of a pass from teammate Angel Carcamo to give the Colts a 2-0 lead.  Ortega would later share the love assisting Ricardo Arias for the third and final goal of the game to give the Colts a 3-0 victory.

 The SUNY Orange Colts finish their season with a 1-10-2 record as they got their much needed confidence and motivation heading into next season after an amazing team victory.
