Colts vs The College of Southern Maryland

The SUNY Orange Colts played a Monday afternoon game against The Hawks of The College of Southern Maryland for the Colts third double header of the season, this is the second of five consecutive away games that the Colts will be playing this week and then are back on their home field Friday Mar, 22nd at 1:00. 

Game #1 was certainly not one to remember as the Colts could not respond after trailing in the first inning by 4 runs. The Colts had all sorts of troubles inside the batters box as they recorded their first hit on a fielder's choice in the 5th and final inning of the game, due to Southern Maryland's stellar defense inside of the diamond. A rough showing for the Colts losing 11-0 with just one recorded hit and 3 batters getting on base. They will look to come back in game number two and not get swept through two games.

Game #2 started the same as the first as the Colts found themselves trailing by 4 runs in the first inning but were able to answer back and score two runs in the 2nd inning after some costly errors from Hawks. In a better performance for the Colts they unfortunately were unable to come up with the win as the two runs they scored in the 2nd inning would be the last time the Colts score. With a score of 10-2 the Colts suffer their first double header loss bringing their record to an even 3-3. They look to turn things around and hopefully get back in the winners column as they take on Camden Community College tomorrow Tuesday Mar, 19th.
