Colts vs Skylanders of Sussex County
2nd consecutive loss.
This was the first game back after the holiday break for the Colts as they fell just short in their travels to Sussex County Community College where they took on the Skylanders. After a tough first quarter where the Colts found themselves down by 10 points and with the second quarter not being much better the Colts were losing 39-23 going into the half where they will need to have an enormous second half to even the score. Even though they outscored their opponent by 10 points the last two quarters they were unable to finish off the comeback by just 6 points. With a final score of 66-60 the Colts move on to a record of 5-7 and will look to turn things around as they hopes of playoffs are in reach.
The Colts will look to snap their two game losing streak as they take on the Tigers of Queensborough Community College on Saturday, January 13th.
Sophomore, #3 Liliana Rameriez finished with 21 points making her the teams leading scorer, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished 2 assists and came up big on the defensive side as she finished with 4 steals and 3 blocks
Freshman, #11 Eva Bloom had a stellar defensive performance as she finished with a career high in steals as she was a ball hawk coming away with 22 Steals!!
Freshman, #12 Taniyah Montgomery finished the game with 11 points had 4 steals and was able to grab 9 rebounds.
Freshman, #23 Victoria Harrison finished with the second highest in points as she scored 15 points and was also able to grab a team high in rebounds at 11 (tied with Liliana Rameriez)
