Last Regular Season Game for the Colts is an Exciting Back and Forth Contest Aainst Ulster County.
What a comeback performance by the Colts! They found themselves trailing from the very first few minutes of the game and continued to trail until the end of the first half. This season the Colts main struggle has been in the 3rd quarter of games. There are several games where their opponent gets the best of them in that third quarter and the Colts just can't dig their way out of the hole they have created for themselves. Last night the Colts turned the tide and scored a season high 30 points in the 3rd quarter to Ulsters 17. This offensive output allowed the Colts to gain their first lead of the night. They looked to keep the lead the rest of the way and they did just that. They fought off a relentless Ulster team that in spite of finishing with just 3 eligible players, had a chance to tie the game with a last possession. With the 68-65 victory the Colts improved to 8-12, their best record since the 2019-20 season.
The Colts will look to continue their improvement as they face off against the powerhouse Sullivan County in the Region XV Division II Championship Game on Sunday March 3.
