Colts go 2-0 in Double Duel against Hostos Community College and Bronx Community College

The SUNY Orange Colts traveled to Dutchess Community College to take on the Caimans of Hostos Community College and the Broncos of Bronx Community College in the first double duel of the season. 

In the first match the Colts took on the Caiman of Hostos Community College. This is the team's first appearance this season against Hostos. The 4-1 Colts look to maintain their winning ways after defeating Rockland County on Thursday. In a 3-0 victory the Colts move on to a 5-1 record through the first six games of play.

In set number one the Colts were able to hold their own with the closest set of the match with a score of 25-22. The Colts quickly took care of business in the remaining sets, winning by scores of 25-9 in set number two and a 25-14 victory in set three. 

Fr #6 Lily Noteboom had a great game as she finished with 5 kills on 13 attempts and led the team in assists with 20 assists while recording 6.5 points to help bring the Colts to victory.

Fr #8 Araceli Ospina had a great game as she finished with 8 kills on 24 attempts while recording 10 assists and 10 points. 

 In match two the Colts took on the Broncos from Bronx Community College and recorded another 3 set sweep. With a score of 25-19 the Colts were able to secure the victory of set one giving them the momentum they needed for the remaining sets.

The Colts would go on to win 25-10 in set two and 25-7 in set three. The third set was the largest score differential for the Colts all season. 

Fr #8 Araceli Ospina had another great game as she led the team in kills going 12/22 while also recording 7 assists and 4 service aces for a total of 16.0 points.

Fr #6 Lily Noteboom also had an outstanding game as Noteboom led the team in assists finishing with 12 total assist and also recording 4 kills on 10 attempts for 4.5 points.

Fr #9 Emily Deserto was another main contributor as she finished the game with 6 kills on 11 attempts. Deserto led the team in service aces as she had 9 service aces finishing wth a total of 15.0 points.

 The Colts currently stand at 6-1  through their first seven games of the season as they face off in a rematch against the undefeated Falcons of Dutchess Community College on Tuesday October 1st at 7:00 pm EST @Dutchess Community College
